Renaissance Enterprises, Inc.ís Adult Day Care Centers will provide services to older adults, who, because of emotional, physical, or mental impairment, require assistance in a supervised environment.  This environment will also provide a variety of therapeutic, restoratives, and rehabilitative services aimed at achieving an optimal level of functionality.  The Adult Day Service member is at risk of abandonment, neglect and abuse, as well as unnecessary or premature institutionalization because of impairments related to medical needs, psychosocial limitations, functional abilities, and inadequate support systems.  REIís services provide a professional and high quality care solution for these problems.

    Our Adult Day Care Service

Our Adult Day Service, which is our principal service, will consist of a half-day or a full day of Adult Day Care in a supervised environment. Our services are geared towards the following three business models of Adult Day Care facilities:

bullet

The Medical Model

This model includes Adult Day Service programs that are attached to hospitals or other health care facilities.   In a medical model, staff will include at least one full-time registered nurse, trained in geriatric care, and will have available the services of a physician who is board certified in geriatric medicine.  The services of the health care facility, to which the Adult Day Service is attached, are available to clients as needed.  Charting and records of client care will follow the medical format.

bullet

The Mental Model

Adult Day Service facilities initiated by mental health professionals fall under the mental health model.  Individual counseling as well as therapeutic group activities is emphasized.  A strong family therapy and adult support group component are a vital component in such programs.

bullet

The Social Model

Adult Day Service programs that attached to community centers for older adults, as well as independent programs, may follow a social model. In such programs, primary emphasis is placed on the socializing benefit of group activities. Staff may be especially alert to group dynamics from a perspective of encouraging client socialization and interaction, and discouraging withdrawal and isolation.

Some REI facilities will have a combination of models.  Our goal is to provide facilities that best fit the needs of the members in each community.

     Transportation Services

Our transportation services will consist of one-way or round trip transportation to and from membersí homes, and to and from scheduled medical appointments.  By providing transportation for members to and from residences, and to and from medical appointments, caregivers are relieved of that task and are comfortable leaving their loved ones in the hands of REIís staff members.

Additional services will be available, as memberís needs change.
